Undergraduate Research Day

Undergraduate Research Day April 15 attracted about 50 projects in a variety of disciplines to the AIMS Hall Atrium. Faculty judges selected first, second and third places in kinesiology, physiology, psychology and math/biology/physical sciences/history, with winners receiving gift cards to Charlotte’s Coffee Corner. Here, faculty Elizabeth Lake, psychology, and Ruth Dahlquist, biology (left and center, respectively), check out a display with participating students.

Pre-Health Sciences

The pre-health sciences major provides students with a broad, interdisciplinary foundation in the sciences. It prepares students for entry into medical and dental careers, as well as a variety of allied health fields: nursing, physician's assistantships, physical therapy, nutrition, medical technology and more.

Environmental Science

The environmental science major exists to provide tools for scientific observation and analysis of the environment. Using an interdisciplinary approach to scientific study, the major compliments studies of biology and chemistry with theological, philosophical, and legal perspectives on the environment.
