The May 11 Teacher Education Celebration honored 128 FPU students who earned teacher credentials in 2010-2011. Speakers included Teacher Education Program Director Linda Hoff, pictured, and Provost Steve Varvis.

FPU event brings together educators to help students learn

Supporting students with strategic help in their regular classrooms is the goal of “Putting RtI2 into Practice: Response to Intervention and Instruction with a Focus on Writing,” May 12-13, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Special Events Center on the main campus.

People—in the Valley, in California, in the United States—are talking about education. Laws, learned reports and studies, studies and more studies by experts declaim opinions and declare solutions. But what of those who spend time with children? What of those who stand in the classroom, trying to put hands and feet on educational policies and the love of education into children's minds and hearts?
