Claiming a Prophetic Vision for the 21st Century: An Uncomfortable Word from Amos
M. Daniel Carroll R., Ph.D., professor of Old Testament, Wheaton College
Former Distinguished Professor of Old Testament at Denver Seminary, M. Daniel Carroll R., is now the Blanchard Professor of Old Testament in the Graduate School of Wheaton College. The Old Testament and immigration are primary concerns of Carroll, whose own background has contributed to these interests. He was born to a Guatemalan mother and an American father, son of Irish immigrants. He was raised bilingually and biculturally in Houston, Texas. His teaching history includes both American institutions and 13 years at an interdenominational seminary in Guatemala City, where he continues to serve as adjunct professor. At 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, in BC Lounge, he will also speak to Spanish speaking pastors and church leaders (in Spanish) on what the Bible teaches about immigration.
Organized by FPU’s Division of Biblical and Religious Studies.
