Standards of Academic Progress (SOAP)
Students who do not meet satisfactory standards of academic progress (SOAP) will receive an official email sent to their Campus Cruiser account. All official SOAP communications will be sent through Campus Cruiser, the official means of communication at FPU.
Traditional undergraduate students will be placed on academic probation if their term GPA falls below 2.0, but above 1.0. Academic probation is a warning status.
Traditional undergraduate students will be academically disqualified from attendance if their work at FPU reflects either of the following:
- A GPA of 1.0 or less in any term
- A GPA below 2.0 for two consecutive terms
Students have an opportunity to appeal the disqualification. Contact the Office of Student Success and Retention.
A withdrawal is complete removal from enrollment at the university. Students may withdraw through the 10th week of the semester. A hiatus is a break from the university for one fall or spring semester. Traditional undergraduate students seeking withdrawal or hiatus must schedule an appointment to meet with the Office of Student Success and Retention.
