Community, alumni authors contribute to book

Randy White, D.Min, and H Spees, D.Min., co-edited the book Out of Nazareth: Christ Centered Civic Transformation in Unlikely Places (Urban Loft Publishers, 2017). White is executive director of the Center for Community Transformation and associate professor of community transformation, both through Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary. Spees is a pastor and community activist, involved with organizations including the international leadership development network Leadership Foundations, and adjunct faculty at FPU.

The book includes chapters by community members including Yammilette Rodriguez (MA ’06), Bryson White, Jacob Huang, Phil (SEM ’06) and Rici Skei (BA ’02, MA ’05), Monika Grasley and Cathleen Lawler (SEM ’09) as well as White and Spees. “All of us offer it in the hopes that it can be useful for those seeking to join together in Christ-centered civic transformation,” White said.

All profits will be used to send local leaders to the Christian Community Development Association. Order the book in paperback or Kindle on Amazon.
