As an arts administration major at Fresno Pacific University, you’ll be able to express your creative and artistic interests, while gaining the administrative skills necessary for work in visual and performing arts. Choose from three paths to focus your studies: visual art, theater or music. Pair your arts administration major with a minor or other major to create a unique educational experience tailor to you. Through our innovative, hands-on program, you’ll learn essential creative skills from top-tier faculty, equipping you for a wide variety of careers.

Career opportunities

As an arts administration major, your courses will explore management, marketing and various art forms, equipping you with the tools necessary to start work in various art sectors. Within the field of arts administration, you'll be have the necessary skills to work for art galleries, museums, dance companies, theatres and other organizations. Creative thinkers are highly sought after in virtually any career and our program allows flexibility to add a double major or a minor to expand your options. The program also encourages you to take up to three internship units, which count towards your degree. Intern locally with a variety of arts organizations or take your studies overseas with a number of study abroad opportunities.

Course listing

In order to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Fresno Pacific University, students must complete at least 120 units. Along with completing all required courses in their selected area of study, general education requirements must be met by all graduates. See the general education summary in the undergraduate academic catalog for more information.
