As you are preparing to graduate this spring, the following information is compiled to address your concerns, answer your questions and give you valuable information.
In light of the current COVID-19 situation, we regret to announce that commencement festivities scheduled for this spring are postponed. The May and December 2020 graduates will be celebrated in one collective ceremony on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Selland Arena in downtown Fresno. FPU is considering options for the graduate hooding ceremony and Seminary Gala.
All degree applications for Spring 2020 are still active. If you already applied for commencement, there is no need to reapply or pay additional fees.
All degree conferrals will be posted to your individual record as scheduled. The final deadline to apply is April 24, 2020.
While our office remains operational, it is physically closed at this time. Honor cords are not available for pickup until our office and the FPU campuses reopen to visitors. At that time, we will send new communication out with the dates and place for pick up.
Regalia is available for purchase on Jostens' website and at the bookshop on FPU’s main campus. Please see additional information below.
Regalia may be returned, but all returns must be unopened and in their original packaging. Please see below for specific instructions for Jostens and the FPU Bookshop.
Graduating students may wear ethnic sashes representing their inherited ancestry which is reflective of their ethnic heritage. These sashes must meet specific criteria outlined by the University Diversity Committee. Students must purchase or create their own sashes as FPU does not sell them. For specific guidelines and more information, please contact Director of Diversity and Inclusion Breanne Wyse at Breanne.email@example.com or 559-453-3608.
