Kinesiology
The word kinesiology refers to the study of human movement and the School of Natural Sciences uses it as an umbrella term that includes several different emphases. Kinesiology, as a scientific field, examines the anatomy and mechanics of the body's movement. This major offers students preparation for a wide host of career and training options.

This major provides many opportunities in education, sports and health-related fields, depending on which emphasis is chosen and each student's career goals.
Program Details
Students choose from three bachelor of arts emphases and two bachelor of science emphases:
- The B.A. emphases are exercise science, fitness management and physical education teaching.
- The B.S. emphases include exercise physiology and pre-physical therapy/ occupational therapy. The bachelor of science degrees are more rigorous and have more of an emphasis on research.
