Communication - Communication Studies Emphasis

Communication encompasses many disciplines and career fields, including those in media and digital arts, scholarly writing and journalism, advertising and the internet. The communication studies emphasis provides a broad introduction to these disciplines.

Business Administration - Finance

Professionals in the field of finance manage long-term investments, working capital, and issues of financing for small businesses or large corporations. The bachelor of arts degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance provides graduates with the tools and skills necessary to support and manage a successful career in finance.

Business Administration - Nonprofit Administration

Nonprofits-including churches and missions-based organizations-provide essential services to various members of a community. They exist to serve, and are run by people with the same commitments to service. The nonprofit administration emphasis equips graduates with the tools necessary to effectively and efficiently manage various aspects of a nonprofit organization.

Undergraduate Financial Aid Awards

Each year, FPU offers over $8 million in aid to help make our personal approach to a university education affordable. Along with institutional funds, FPU also offers several state and federal grants, as well as public and private scholarships and private and federal loans. We also offer tuition waivers for the immediate family members of FPU employees.

Scholarship Information

There are literally thousands of FPU and outside scholarships available to students who qualify. Many scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, need, student background, talents or past and future involvement in a variety of activities. The greatest value in scholarships lies in knowing that they do not have to be repaid.

Mathematics

The mathematics program at Fresno Pacific University is designed to prepare students to solve problems, communicate their understanding and appreciate the beauty of mathematics and its role in human history.

Music Department

The music program exists to prepare performers, train teachers and encourage composers to minister through music to the church and community.

The curriculum is designed to prepare skillful musicians, effective communicators, creative teachers and responsible servant leaders in the church and the community. Through the study of music theory and history and the practice of music performance, students will be prepared for lilfelong exploration of music.

Psychology

Psychology is the study of human behavior and mental processes. Students receive a foundation in psychology while being challenged to examine human nature from scientific, religious, philosophical, physiological and socio-cultural perspectives. Psychological knowledge is a great benefit in many careers, and the major is flexible and can be tailored to meet student goals.
