"The Journal of the Christian Institute on Disability" published the results of an empirical study conducted by Julie M. Lane, Ed.D., assistant professor of special education, and David R. Jones, M.S., practicum coordinator for special education. The study represents the first nationwide analysis of special education practices in Christian schools. Lane and Jones produced a series of publications that are in various stages of review by other publishers. The article published in the fall/winter issue featured information about the professional development practices that Christian schools implement to support practitioners in service to students with special needs. This study/article series was funded by an FPU Provost Grant Lane received in 2012.
