Lori Hamada (MA ’91), executive director of the AIMS Center for Math and Science Education, was honored during the 33rd Annual Top Ten Professional Women and Leadership Business Awards. The ceremony took place October 14 at Fresno’s Convention Center Exhibit Hall. The Marjaree Mason Center was the host.
According to its mission statement: “AIMS is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting teachers to facilitate the development of a robust mathematical and/or scientific knowledge within their students.”
AIMS employs several FPU faculty and offers opportunities to our students. Hamada has led the center for two years.
