Career Achievement Program (CAP)

What is the Career Achievement Program?

The Career Achievement Program (CAP) is designed to provide all FPU students with an opportunity to develop and practice essential career skills in 3 phases: career development workshops, mock interviews, and a networking luncheon.

There is no cost to participate in CAP and the rewards for both employers and students are invaluable. Interested in supporting our FPU students with getting ready for the job market? Check out our student testimonials and contact the Career Development Center (career.services@fresno.edu) for details.

Career Development Workshops

Students attend a series of career development workshops: job search, resume and cover letter writing, letters of recommendation requests, interview skills, networking, professionalism, and etiquette. Students also receive feedback and support to develop a resume and cover letter that highlights their professional background.

Mock Interviews

Employers conduct mock interviews with students. Students get to put their interviewing skills into practice. Employers provide students feedback on how to prepare and improve their interviewing skills for future jobs or internship interviews.

Networking Luncheon

Employers attend this networking event to give students an opportunity to practice their networking skills. Students can put their networking skills into practice, make great first impressions, and development long-lasting relationships to leverage their career success.
