Music Performance Groups

At Fresno Pacific University, our music program continues to foster collaboration and community through two vibrant performance groups: our University Choir and an Instrumental/Band Ensemble. Whether you are a student, faculty, staff member or a community musician, you are welcome to join in.

University Choir

Our choir brings together students and community members to worship, praise and perform across campus and in the broader Fresno region. Under the direction of Carrie Vail, the choir explores a wide variety of repertoire—from sacred classics to modern anthems. Participation strengthens vocal technique, builds musical literacy and fosters a sense of belonging.

Instrumental/Band Ensemble

Led by Frank Velasco, this ensemble provides a collaborative space for musicians to perform together, grow their skills and contribute to FPU’s musical culture. Rehearsals are open to both music majors and non-majors, and performances take place throughout the academic year at campus events and community engagements.
