About

I teach at Fresno Pacific University because its values and mission resonate deeply with me. FPU was founded on Christian principles and I’m proud to be part of a community where, as Ralph Nader puts it, I can take my conscience to work. I also love the work itself: exploring ideas with students and helping them discover the wonder of science and the natural world.

Additional Information

I’m excited and deeply grateful for the privilege to teach at FPU. I’ve been struck not only by how accomplished the faculty are, but even more by the humility and kindness I’ve encountered across campus. Outside the classroom, I love spending time with my wife and our two kids, and I’m an avid chess player. My family and I attend Fresno First Baptist Church. My favorite places are wild landscapes, and Yosemite National Park tops the list.
