You have a passion to care for others. With an education from Fresno Pacific University, you’ll be ready to transform that passion into the career you’ve always wanted. Fresno Pacific University nursing degrees are built upon a foundation of ethical leadership, preparing you to be a sought-after practitioner in the healthcare field. Where skill meets compassion, our programs offer a rigorous evidence-based education in a supportive Christian atmosphere with dedicated faculty with decades of industry experience. With the demand for nurses in the Central Valley growing more than 35 percent in the next 10 years, you’ll be prepared for a professional career in the growing industry—prepare to care for patients, teach, lead, understand informatics and healthcare technologies, and execute evidence-based clinical practice.
With small class sizes in a cohort model and a rigorous program of study, you’ll be supported and challenged as you learn in the classroom, in the nursing lab, and in clinical settings throughout the Central San Joaquin Valley. As a graduate from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, you’ll be prepared for advanced nursing positions in direct patient care, education, and administration in hospitals, clinics, public health agencies and more. The BSN program at Fresno Pacific University also grants you priority consideration for admission into Fresno Pacific University’s graduate studies in nursing program (MSN). If you have your RN or are actively working toward your RN, please see below for more information about our RN to BSN program.
This program is designed for students who have their RN or are currently working toward their RN. Program courses will broaden your academic foundation while focusing on clinical decision-making, critical thinking, holistic care and leadership instruction. Cohorts in the program are built around 12-20 students who progress through the program together, meeting for class one night per week over 18 months. As a graduate, you’ll be prepared for advanced nursing positions, and also qualified to pursue graduate studies in nursing—with priority admission into Fresno Pacific University’s MSN program.
You’ll gain hands-on training with a wide range of complex and varied patients across family practice, women’s health, pediatrics, and primary care, equipping you for national FNP certification exams through either AANPCB or ANCC. With classes focusing on assessment, prevention and instruction, cohorts meet face-to-face one afternoon per week. An innovative FNP PREP residency program offers hands-on clinical experience. Curriculum meets AACN standards, giving you a broad education, applicable to today’s evolving healthcare field.
