You are warmly invited to a poetry reading for the 2023 Jean & Louis Janzen Visiting Writer’s Series.
This year our visiting writer is acclaimed Fresno poet, Mai Der Vang. In writing about a particular period in the Hmong experience, she “calls out the erasure of a history, the silencing of a people. . .in poems that sing and lament”.
The reading is on February 7, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., in the Warkentine Culture and Arts Center, Lin Family Performance Studio. Book signing and light refreshments will follow.
