C.L.A.S.S. (College Language and Academic Success Strategies)

Students enroll in a 1 unit course (CP 118) and pay the appropriate summer tuition fees. The textbook is included in the tuition fee, and will be mailed to the student before class begins. A letter grade will be recorded on the student's official transcript. Class units will count toward graduation, but as an elective, not as part of the general education or major requirements. The benefit to the student is progress toward graduation.

This course is designed to prepare incoming college students of all abilities to succeed in their college-level courses.

*For more information about our C.L.A.S.S. and C.L.A.S.S. II courses, please contact Melinda Gunning, director of academic support services, at or 559-453-2247.

The Academic Support Center (ASC) will be open and available for student use during both summer sessions. The ASC is located in Marpeck 105, and our hours will be Mondays - Thursdays 9:00am-3:00pm.  The ASC is a place where students can come to study, print papers, get tutored, and make-up exams. A math tutor will be available during the first session, and writing tutors will be available during both the first and second sessions.
For questions, appointments, and more information, contact the ASC at 453-5585, or
