Fresno Pacific University Re-launches RN to BSN Program

November 21, 2025

By Michael Hammond

Starting August 2026, a program for registered nurses is coming back to Fresno Pacific University.

The program is designed with working nurses in mind, allowing them to advance their credentials without having to pause their career.

The hybrid format offers classes online with in-person lab and clinical hours on-site at the FPU North Campus, local clinics, school districts and public health departments. Students will engage with experienced faculty with real-life clinical nursing experience and progress through coursework in a cohort format.

The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org) and approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (http://www.rn.ca.gov). Graduates of this program will meet California BRN requirements to apply for Public Health Nurse certification.

“This program opens up opportunities for RNs to advance their practice, strengthen their leadership and deepen their impact in healthcare,” said Esther Igboerika DNP, APRN, CPNP, chief nursing officer and BSN program director. “We’re committed to seeing our nursing graduates equipped and prepared for the next level of their career.”
