Fresno Pacific University’s Reading and Language programs have been designed to build your leadership skills in the field of literacy instruction from kindergarten through community college levels. FPU offers reading and language degrees at the master, credential and certificate levels. These programs help teachers develop balanced and meaning-focused literacy instruction to serve all pupils, especially English-language learners.

Graduates of the Reading and Language Master of Arts program may obtain the Reading Certificate concurrently. You may also elect to pursue the entire program or a portion of the program. All courses for the Reading Certificate can be applied to the master’s degree. The coursework options are designed to meet the needs of those who seek advanced study in the field of literacy.
