About

Scott Horton received the bachelor of arts degree with honors in organ performance from Fresno Pacific University while studying with Laurell Huber, and a master’s degree in organ performance from California State University, Fresno, studying with teachers Dr. Robert Judd, Samuel Schwartz (Redlands University), and James Walker (Occidental University and All Saints Church, Pasadena). He has also studied with Ladd Thomas (USC), Gerre Hancock (St. Thomas Church, NYC), and William Johnson of Tulare. In addition to teaching organ and harpsichord at Fresno Pacific University, Horton teaches Pipe Organ Studies at California State University, Fresno, and serves as Music Director/Organist at First Congregational Church of Fresno and Organist at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Tulare.
