The Theater minor is a great way to enhance your artistic and expressive abilities. Courses in Acting and Directing develop imagination, confidence and leadership skills, while the choice of electives allows you to choose classes that offer skills in particular areas and/or complement your major.
Highlights
- Small class sizes
- Intimate theater community
- Two mainstages, a Spring Showcase, musicals in alternate years, a Staged Reading Series, and a Religious Drama Team that performs on-campus and in churches.
- Scholarships are available to those interested in working on productions as actors, technicians, stage managers, or for joining the Religious Drama Team.
Career opportunities
The study of theater provides supplemental preparation in the areas of teacher education, communication, group process, organization, aesthetics, public presentation and other skills valuable in a wide variety of fields, as well as preparation for graduate school, theater ministry or conservatory training.
