Center for Community Transformation Launches New Program to Accelerate Rural Businesses

December 19, 2025

By Michael Hammond

Beginning in January 2026, Fresno Pacific University’s Center for Community Transformation (CCT) is launching a new program.

It is designed for rural entrepreneurs and small business owners who want to grow with confidence. The program will be held free of charge and is open to anyone who would like to attend.

The Rural Ignite Business Accelerator offers the opportunity for rural Valley entrepreneurs and business owners to receive in-depth, expert training in a variety of targeted topics.

“Through focused accelerator courses,” the course description states, “participants will gain actionable strategies, expert mentorship and a collaborative network to drive measurable impact.”

Five specialized tracks will be offered, and participants may choose to attend one, several or all five.

The five tracks are:

  1. Business Finance Foundations—Financial Clarity for Confident Growth.
  2. Culinary Pathways—Equipping Food Entrepreneurs for Success.
  3. Sales Through Service—Serve First. Serve Better.
  4. Branding/Marketing/Message—Brand with Purpose. Market with Clarity.
  5. Nonprofit Catalyst—Sharpen Your Focus. Solidify Your Future.

CCT staff held several listening sessions with rural business leaders in order to make informed decisions on which topics would be most helpful to cover in this in-depth format.

“This program is continuing the work that we are already doing in rural communities,” said Bryan Feil, associate director of CCT. “Those who participate will leave with practical tools and resources to apply to their business. They’ll gain one-on-one support and will build a business community to feel heard and valued in.”

The Rural Ignite Business Accelerator begins in Reedley, with later sessions to be held in Selma and online. For more information or to sign up for this free program, visit https://www.cctfresno.org/business-accelerator-tracks/.
