Mission Statement
The School of Humanities, Religion, and Social Sciences—consistent with its Anabaptist tradition—is a Christ-centered community of reflectivelearners engaged in Kingdom practices that are prophetic and empathic, interdependent, and intended to foster transformation through theliberal arts and practice of shalom in the gospel tradition.

HRSS Divisions
The different divisions of HRSS encompass both practical application and philosophical reflection, offering a comprehensive understanding of the humanexperience. The social science division encourages us to support our fellow humans through programs such as social work, criminology, psychology, andsociology. Studying English, Spanish, philosophy, and liberal arts can provide us with a profound understanding of human expression and intricacies withinthe humanities division. The visual and performing division showcases the creativity that exists within all of us. Lastly, the biblical and religious studiesdivision provides guidance on how to interpret the Bible and its significance in both our personal lives and society as a whole.
